We get energies from the Cosmic layer or the ‘bramhand’ – the Universe.

These energies are coming from the light of the Sun. in the olden times, in every structure which was constructed, the central portion called the Brahmsthan, was left open, the reason why it was left open was to receive the rays of the sun on the area of the ‘Brahm’ or the centre. And the 7 coloured rays of the sun actually represents your 7 Planets and on their left and right respectively the IR and UV rays are Rahu and Ketu.

It is important that the sunlight falls on the ‘Nabhi’ or the ‘Navel’ as it is the central system or Brahmsthan. Bhram meaning illusion governs us, you live in a world of illusions which you have created yourself.

Why could Ravana, the king of Lanka, be killed only by hitting him in the navel?

He had 10 heads and Lord Ram could easily have cut off his head the 11^th time also after cutting of the 10 heads but in reality they were not just 10, they were many more. Heads represents ego and when you develop a massive ego you become Ravana. You should never be controlled by ego however intelligent you are - and there was no one more knowledgeable than Ravana. Yet when knowledge turns into pride then you become like Ravana and one of the ways to destroy this Ravana is the navel, the Navel represents Ketu and Ketu is your Belief – when your intentions becomes pure  about everything then you become immortal remembered forever; in that moment you find Moksha or Libration from life and death. You become the creator of a world where there is only Godliness (Paramtatva) – that is the Navel.

He was Ravana and we all have traces of him in us – we all live that Ravana every second and even try to kill it every moment also but since there are many heads. Ravan seems indestructible. We need Ram to destroy this. Ram means pure positive thoughts and groundedness to kill overpower that Ravana.
